On Tuesday, September 2, the Randolph County School System (RCSS) celebrated excellence in education at its annual Teacher of the Year Banquet, held at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, NC.
The event brought together Teacher of the Year nominees from each of the district’s 31 schools, along with members of the RCSS Board of Education, local legislators, and district leaders. The evening highlighted the dedication and impact of educators across the county and culminated in the recognition of five finalists and the announcement of the overall Teacher of the Year.
This year’s finalists included:
Adam Brown – Northeastern Randolph Middle School
Christy Hutchins – Trindale Elementary School
Julie Richardson – Grays Chapel Elementary School
James Price – Trinity Middle School
Chase Willard – Southeastern Randolph Middle School
The district proudly announced Mrs. Christy Hutchins of Trindale Elementary School as the 2025 Randolph County School System Teacher of the Year.
Trindale Elementary Principal Emma Phillips shared her admiration for Mrs. Hutchins, saying:
“Mrs. Hutchins is the ultimate cheerleader for both students and staff—always encouraging, always uplifting, and always putting her heart into everything she does. With 25 years of passion and dedication, we are so proud of her and excited to finally celebrate this well-deserved honor!”
RCSS congratulates Mrs. Hutchins on this achievement and extends gratitude to all nominees for their commitment to students, families, and the Randolph County community.
