Snow days are extra special through a child’s eyes ❄️ Tonight, ask your child: What was your favorite part of the snow days? Was it playing outside, cozying up inside, or a bit of extra family time? 💙 We can’t wait to hear their response!

Due to hazardous road conditions, all schools in the RCSS will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday (1/27/26).

Tomorrow (1/26/26) is not a remote learning day for the RCSS. Tomorrow (1/26/26) will be our first day missed which is a built in weather day. We will not use the remote packets unless we use all five built in days. In the event we need to use a remote day, Dr. Gainey will state that on the alert call he sends out. Remote packets were sent home Friday (1/23/26) in the event we use all five days this week and need to start remote days next week.

Last night, we celebrated our Trindale STARS! 🌟 Mrs. Moser, Mrs. Hutchins, and Mrs. Lanier were awarded the Randolph County School Endowment Grant. Fifth grader Miles Bouldin earned the STAR³ Student Award for always shining bright. Not pictured: Rebecca “Reba” Surles, who received the STAR Employee Award for consistently going above and beyond. We are so proud of all our STARS!

Teacher Workday on January 20 & 21 - no school for students. RECHS will be on it's normal schedule both days.

RCSS will be closed to teachers and students on Monday, January 19, 2026 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

With the 2-hour delay tomorrow, breakfast will not be served. The lunch menu will be corn dog nuggets, PBJ, or yogurt. Candy grams are still going to be sold in the morning. Bundle up and stay warm! 🥶🌟

Due to the forecast of extremely low temperatures in the early morning
hours and concerns about student safety, especially with regard to students waiting at bus stops, the Randolph County School System will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, 12/15/25.

We strongly encourage everyone to check the lost and found this week, especially if you are missing any essential winter gear or school supplies.

All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity on Friday, December 12th, at the end of the school day. Please visit the lost and found before this deadline to recover your property.
